PROMAX WB550 is a ‘general purpose’ high-temperature welding blanket for protection against grinding sparks, light to medium welding spatter, etc. Also used for heat treatment / stress relieving / heat retention (wrapping of heated objects to slow cooling). Withstands up to 550°c long duration & ~700°c short duration exposure. Heat-treated to reduce fraying and irritation, with heavier weight for increased durability and insulating properties. Available in blankets and rolls.

PROMAX WB1000 is a ‘medium duty’ welding blanket made from high-temperature fabric for protection against grinding sparks, medium-to-heavy welding spatter, etc. Also used for heat treatment / stress relieving / heat retention (wrapping of heated objects to slow cooling). Specially treated glass fibre to withstand up to 800°c long duration & 1000°c short duration exposure, and to improve insulating properties. Strong, durable, and abrasion-resistant, with heavier weight for longer service life.

Provides max working temperature exposure of 1100°c and up to 1600°c short duration exposure, with heavier weight for increased durability and insulating properties. Available in blankets and rolls.

The Weldclass Promax GP is an easy-to-use, all-positional welding rod for mild & galvanised steels, supplied in a 1kg re-usable convenience pack to keep electrodes in good condition. Very smooth arc, easy re-striking & easy slag removal. Fast-freezing slag formula, for welding in all positions including vertial down. Tolerant to dirty materials and poor fit-up. Available in 2.0mm, 2.6mm & 3.2mm.
If a more forceful arc is desired, and for larger volume applications, we recommend the best-selling Weldclass Platinum 12V electrode.

700 series hardfacing welding rods for general hard-facing of ground-engaging implements and similar applications. Good abrasion resistance with moderate-to-high impact strength, typical hardness 53-56 HRC. A tough weld deposit also makes this electrode suitable for parts subject to fatigue or flexing in service. Suitable for a wide range of applications including the surfacing of post hole augers, agricultural points, shares and tynes, grader and cultivator blades, etc. Supplied in 1kg re-usable convenience pack to keep electrodes in good condition. For higher abrasion resistance and longer wear life, we recommend Platinum 943 series electrodes.
