Weldclass Nominate-a-Charity Draw 2023

 Weldclass nominate a charity

Supported by Weldclass Customers across Australia

A massive thank you to the many Weldclass customers who participated in our Christmas / New Year "nominate-a-charity" program.  Once again, we recieved a long list of hard-working Australian charities which our customers were keen to see us support.

How it works:  Weldclass reach out to our customers across Australia, asking them to nominate a charity. A winner is drawn from the many charities submitted and Weldclass then donates to that nominee.

In previous years, our winning nominee charities have included; Childhood Cancer SupportBeyond Blue, Royal Flying Doctor Service, and Childrens Cancer Institute.

And the 2023/24 winner is:

Congratulations to Brett who nominated...  BlazeAid.

Here's what motivated Brett to make this nomination;

"Blazeaid go into communities after fires & floods and help landowners rebuild fences. Every dollar donated to them goes a long way, as their primary resource is volunteer hours. So donations can go towards tools - which could contribute 10-100x a return on investment, or towards materials for fencing (which again utilizing volunteer work, is generally a 2-3x return on the donation vs value of work after it is completed)."

This another fantastic Aussie 'gassroots' charity that Weldclass is very proud to support.

About BlazeAid

BlazeAid is a volunteer-based organisation that works with families and individuals in rural Australia after natural disasters such as fires and floods. Working alongside rural families, volunteers help to rebuild fences and other structures that have been damaged or destroyed.

BlazeAid volunteers also importantly help to lift the spirits of people who are often facing their second or third natural disaster after years of drought or devastating losses through flood or fire. BlazeAid volunteers work in disaster affected areas for many months, not only helping individuals and families but also help to rebuild local communities.
